New Safety & Sanitation plan for goldplaited, post COVID-19 closure

As of June 3, 2020 registered salon businesses in the City of Chicago and State of Illinois are authorized to operate by all pertinent government officials. In consideration of the public health risk posed by COVID-19, goldplaited has created a new sanitation plan, the details of which can be found below:

  • Our disinfecting and cleaning procedure includes cleaning and sanitizing the salon regularly during the day and between each appointment. Everything we touch will be wiped down after each client. That includes tools, products, chairs, stations, etc. Any product that cannot be applied via an aerosol, spray or pump, such as styling creams, will be placed on a separate palette before beginning service, to prevent cross contamination.

  • We are employing a dedicated sanitation assistant for each shift whose responsibility it is to manage the sanitation, cleanliness and safety of the salon.

  • Our team members will be wearing face masks while inside our salons and serving clients, as well as washing their hands before and after each service.

  • Team members will have their temperatures checked at the beginning of each shift before entering the salon.

  • Per City guidelines, we will operate at less than 50% capacity at all times, and maintain a minimum of 6 feet distance between stations.

  • At this time we will not be serving beverages. Please do not bring any food or drink into the salon, as masks should be worn throughout your visit.

  • If you have a fever, chills, cough, muscle pains, headache, loss of taste or smell, or otherwise think you may have been exposed to COVID-19, please cancel your appointment so we can ensure the safety of all our clients and team members.

  • All clients will be required to wear a face covering while in our salon. If you have a disability or health condition and have concerns about your ability to comply with any of the requirements, please let us know by contacting hello@goldplaited.com in advance of your appointment, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

  • With your consent, we will take your temperature upon arrival with a contactless digital thermometer. Clients with a temperature above 100 degrees will be asked to cancel their appointment, at no charge, and return at a later date. We will not store any client temperature data.

  • At this time, we are unable to allow anyone inside the salon who is not receiving a service. If you are coming in with additional guests, or family members, please contact us in advance to coordinate.
